Keeping rent in a Google Sheet? You can move it into PropFlow in a few minutes. Download the sheet, then import it.

  1. Open your sheet in Google Sheets. Go to the tab with one row per unit (your tenant list or rent roll).
  2. Make sure it has a column for the unit, the tenant's name and the rent. Add columns for balance owed, deposit, move-in date and lease end if you have them. If you have more than one property, add a Property column.
  3. Click File → Download → Microsoft Excel (.xlsx). Or pick Comma-separated values (.csv) to download just that tab.
  4. In PropFlow, go to Portfolio → Properties and click Import.
  5. Click Choose file, pick the downloaded file and follow the steps in Import from a spreadsheet.

Tip: If you download as Excel, PropFlow reads the first tab. Move your rent roll tab to the front first, or download that tab as CSV.

Google Sheet sync

Some companies that switched with our help keep their rent tracker sheet in use for a while. For them, Settings shows a Google Sheet sync card. Every 10 minutes the sheet sends new payments, deposits, adjustments and tenant changes to PropFlow. Anything that doesn't match is listed under Needs a look for you to fix. The owner can click Turn sync off once you've switched over. If you don't see this card, use the download and import steps above.

Questions

Will my payment history come over?

Can you do it for me?

Yes. On the import page, click Send us the file and we'll import it free.
