Move over from Rentec, Buildium, AppFolio and others
Export a rent roll report from your old software and import it, or send us the file.

Switching from Rentec Direct, Buildium, AppFolio, DoorLoop or similar? Their rent roll report has almost everything PropFlow needs. You export it once and import it here.
- In your old software, run the Rent Roll report for all properties.
- Export it to Excel or CSV.
- In PropFlow, go to Portfolio → Properties and click Import.
- Click Choose file and pick the export.
- Check the columns on Match your columns, then follow the steps in Import from a spreadsheet.
What comes over
Columns like Property, Unit, Tenant, Rent, Tenant Portion, Subsidy/HAP, Deposit, Balance, Lease From/To and Owner are picked up on their own. You can fix any of them on the next step. Reports that group units under a property name heading work too.
If the report has a tenant portion column, PropFlow works out HAP (the part the housing authority pays) from the total rent. See Section 8 and housing assistance.
What doesn't come over
- Payment history. Each tenant starts with what they owe today as an opening balance. Keep your old reports for past payments.
- Leases, work orders, bills and owner statements from your old software.
Tip: Have the signed leases as PDFs? You can upload them too, and each lease is filed with its tenant. See Import tenants from signed leases.
